More on the subject of paid surveys. It looks like you can sign up for some for free, which makes more sense to me. The companies charging you to sign up are exploiting the "get rich quick" dreams we all suffer from. I note here NFO mysurvey.com is USA only though.

I wonder is this a good idea? You can get paid directly to Paypal, which is handy for me as I can transfer it to my banc acocunt here in Ireland, but you have to pay $35 up front to be able to participate, I'll research this more. Most likely, you'd have to put in far too many hours for this to be worthwhile.

I think the slightly sensationalist tone and silly pictures of sites like this don't do their product any services, but at the same time, there's a naive energy and enthusiasm about them I love! I'd suggest getting this, partly because I did, so I'll feel less silly if others too, but you have to learn the basics somehow and this is a good place to start.

This is great, right now I've a projected income of $22,500 for a year from ads on SPSFAQ, I wonder how long it'll take me to double that?

I actually spent over $100 on get-rich-quick articles online, one from Google Cash and another on the same subject from somewhere else, turns out, with a bit more digging I could have found the info free on Profit Puppy. This is an area, right or wrong, I have decided to go into. At this stage, I don't want to advertise Loans, Gambling, or anything else morally suspect, but in reality, I don't object strongly to them, so I'll probably change my mind eventually. I am going to us my 57,000 or so users from SPSFAQ as my test audience by putting Affiliate ads from Commission Junction in a tower on the right hand side. I can then see which ones get the best response. Mainly geeky stuff, but I'll try others too.

I hear the square blocks of ads get better CTR (click through rates) so I might move to those too.
